Booking Information

The Strange Family Circus provides entertainment for various types of special events. From kid friendly to adult only, the circus is an umbrella organization of artists that seek to create the best of the new circus movement that includes sideshow, carnival, cabaret, burlesque, fire and vaudeville performance.

For example, did you love the masquerade scene in the film Van Helsing? Isn't it great to have performers who get up close and personal for an evening your audience will remember? Have you wanted to hire talent that’s on the cutting edge of what’s hip in New York and San Francisco? Then look no further than the Strange Family Circus.

Talent breakdown

• Ambient characters who interact informally with the crowd
• Vendors who perform a specific service for party goers
• Solo artists who will give short demonstrations throughout the evening
• Variety Showcase which can occur in sets lasting anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and a half, 1-3 times over the course of the evening

Talent roster

• Jugglers, Baton Twirlers, Hula-Hoopers, Devil-stick spinners
• MC, comedians, actors, drag queens, hosts/hostesses
• Airbrush artists, temporary tattoos, henna, tarot readers and other fortune tellers
• Illusionists, magicians, live animal wranglers (including voodoo snake charmer and African scorpion handler), comedic prop magic.
• 20 – 60 minutes of sideshow stunts that include: Glass walker, razor swallower, fire eater (see also fire show), escape artist, nails through body, “Strong Man,” “Bearded Lady.”
• Circus acts include: trapeze, stilt walkers, clowns, Brazilian acrobatics, Puppeteers
• Dancers include: Vegas style showgirls, classic burlesque, belly dancers, and Afro-Caribbean carnival dancers
• Fire includes: fire eaters, fire breathers, fire chain spinners, Hawaiian fire staff & Samoan Fire knives twirlers.

Pricing

Depending on the expected size of audience and duration of the event, the above talent runs from $25 an hour to $500 for the night per performer. For troupes, prices may vary (including fire, dancers, acrobats, for example, pricing may be for the entire troupe or per member). For event packages, which are the most cost effective way to produce an entire evening’s ambiance and entertainment, pricing includes costuming, props, set pieces, technical crew and talent. Please call for package quotes, as each is tailored to the needs and budget of your particular event.
