The Strange Family Circus performs old time circus, sideshow, magic, comedy and dance acts with a hip, family friendly edge. The Strange Family Circus carefully research their material and draw from influences such as Hindu fakir magicians, Harry Houdini, early 20th century circus and carnival sideshows and old vaudeville husband and wife teams such as Burns and Allen. The core members of the circus are the Dr. Rev. Stephen Strange and the "Mother Fakir", Sahar Strange. The Stranges perform both as a duo and as solo artists. Performances are set up as a series of short vignettes or as ambient entertainment and are able to accommodate the spacing of most venues from corporate events to children's parties. Sets can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. Shows can be tailored to kids or adults, from a ribald college bar to a sophisticated, high end resort.
