Strange Family Circus

Sahar began performing as a child. For many years, she danced in her local production of The Nutcracker in her hometown of Princeton, New Jersey. After a dance related injury, Sahar found theatre and improv comedy in high school. While in college studying film and media studies, she began to dabble in avant-garde performance art. Deciding she'd like to reach a wider audience, but still interested in unusual performance styles, Sahar joined the fire troupe Culte du Feu in 2002 as the featured fire staff twirler. After Culte du Feu evolved into the Strange Family Circus, she picked up sideshow stunts to add to her other creative skills in dance, theatre and music. Sahar is currently the Managing Director of The Strange Family Circus and its parent company, PAPA, LLC.
